Healthcare Relations Coordinator – Part-time – Columbus and Delaware, Ohio

Willow Brook Christian Home and Cherith Care Center of Willow Brook Christian Village seek a part-time professional for the position of Healthcare Relations Coordinator. This individual will provide information about Willow Brook’s skilled nursing care services to area hospitals, assisted living care centers, medical, legal and religious professionals who provide services throughout our continuum, to coordinate admissions/re-admissions to the skilled nursing care areas.  Responsibilities will include building professional relationships with nurses, social workers, physicians, and other professionals, and will work with discharge planners, families, social workers and other departments to ensure continuity of care for patients.  This professional will also review and complete insurance contracts, arrange for continuing educational sessions and organize and host special events, maintain care outcome measure studies, and participate in and fully conduct admission verifications/processes.

Qualifications include healthcare experience (administration or nursing level), a post high school degree or licensure in a related marketing or healthcare field highly preferred, and additional training in the area of Medicare reimbursement or insurance is considered very helpful.  Must have the ability to effectively communicate with physicians and other medical professionals in regards to medical preferences and accommodations for patients referred, excellent writing and communication skills, advanced preparation in geriatrics preferred, and the ability to promote a positive attitude and be an ambassador of the mission and core values of the Willow Brook organization.  Applicants must be willing to be flexible with work schedule, as some duties may require evenings and weekend work.
