Willow Brook at Delaware Run is currently seeking a part-time laundry staff member for the Assisted Living Care Center. Positions hours are daytime, working two 8 hour shifts per week, working one regularly scheduled weekday, rotating and every other weekend with some holiday rotation (16 hours per week). The laundry employee ensures that all laundry (linens, personal clothing, etc.) will be clean, as stain free as possible, and marked with the resident’s name. Neatly folding, laundry delivery, and placing laundry in proper storage areas are other duties of this position. The laundry employee should also ensure that the work area stays neat and clean.
Job qualifications include basic communication skills and knowledge of proper washing and drying of fabrics; ability to work most of the time standing and walking; ability to bend and pick up laundry and supplies of light to heavy weight; ability to work without close supervision; and must be able to perform basic arithmetic. Previous similar work experience is highly desired. As with all Willow Brook position, a pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical will be completed.
