Information Technology Assistant – Full-time – Willow Brook Christian Communities – Delaware, Ohio
The Information Technology Assistant provides computer operation, technical support and help desk services to Willow Brook computer users.
- IT Assistant will provide support by diagnosing and correcting problems, performing complex computer operation tasks and assisting with development of operations procedures.
- Will receive, log and track all inquiries from users related to network, printing and desktop issues.
- Monitor and operate computer equipment and peripherals, and perform routine maintenance.
- Organize and maintain various IT files and hardware and software inventory across three campuses.
- Assist in development of training materials and procedural documentation to train staff members in system features and functionality.
- Applicants must have experience in computer applications, operating systems, PC hardware, software, and peripheral trouble-shooting and repair procedures.
- Should demonstrate knowledge in principles and practices of computer and telephone support services and associated security and backup procedures.
- Applicants must also be able to maintain personal and confidential information, communicate clearly, easily and with an attitude of service with users and vendors of varying levels of technical expertise;
- Diagnose computer problems and discern what level of support is needed when a problem is presented.
- Must be able to work as part of a team in stressful situations and maintain composure and compassion for others in the face of heavy workload.
- Must be able to use initiative and sound independent judgment within established guidelines.
- Independently diagnose and resolve computer problems and carry out complex operations procedures and independently resolve system errors.
A degree in Computer Information Systems or related field is preferred; however, 2 years of experience in the IT field or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
