Activities Director – Full-time – Willow Brook at Delaware Run – Delaware, Ohio

Due to an upcoming, planned retirement, Willow Brook at Delaware Run seeks an Activities Director for the Assisted Living Care Center. Key job responsibilities include planning, designing and implementing a variety of activities for individuals and interest groups. Other activity related responsibilities include facilitating residents’ meetings, coordinating the volunteer program, educating families and residents on residents’ rights and responsibilities, addressing resident requests/concerns, organizing the bus schedule for outings, composing the monthly activities calendar and newsletter, and maintaining files and activity documentation. General job duties include participating in staff meetings, attending in-services, and performing other duties as assigned. Additionally, the Activities Director should hold a current CDL (passenger bus driver’s license) or be willing to obtain upon hire, to transport residents to destination activities and special events.

A well-qualified individual will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, outstanding organizational skills, computer literacy, and a strong passion for and understanding of senior adults’ interests. Preferred candidates should have a bachelor’s or associates’ degree in recreational therapy or related field, Professional Activity Certification, or two years of experience working as an Activities Director, Activities Coordinator, or related position. Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule with some weekends and evenings.
