Assisted Living Nurse Manager – Full-time – Delaware, Ohio

This is a rare and highly desirable opportunity as a nurse leader in a growing, reputable care center. As the Willow Brook nurse manager, she or he will work with the Assisted living/memory care center manager to plan, organize, and direct nursing services in Delaware Run’s thriving assisted living and memory care center. The nurse manager will also work with consulting pharmacists and physicians to plan appropriate care for the residents and will oversee administration of the care. The nurse manager will maintain open communication with residents and their family members. Supervisory duties of the position include overseeing nurse aides and supervising their performance and providing input for performance evaluations. The nurse manager will also participate in and record training of staff and in-services. Applicants must be licensed with the Ohio Board of Nursing as a registered or licensed practical nurse and have proven experience in a geriatric nursing/assisted living facility. Successful supervisory experience is highly preferred. Nurse manager must demonstrate good problem-solving and organizational skills, excellent communication skills, have an understanding, patient, and tactful attitude in caring for elderly people and in relating with family members, have the ability to maintain the established quality of services to fulfill the objectives of a Willow Brook facility, and must demonstrate patience, kindness, loyalty and set example of Residents’ Rights to fellow staff members. Computer literacy required.
